Jon & Carol Lien 3801 Gaviota Drive For the past 16 years, Ellen Kleinschmidt, local singer, actor and teacher, has been sharing her love of music with the children at Cypress Creek Elementary School as their music teacher.   With one final zip-a-dee-doo-dah and with many mixed emotions, Ellen left Cypress Creek  at the end of the school year and is looking forward to new and great musical adventures as the music teacher at Doris Ross Reddick Elementary School in Wimauma.  Highlights of her career at Cypress Creek include being named Hillsborough County's Teacher of the Year in 2005, working with and sharing many area stages with the musically talented Broadway Babies and coordinating several community-wide Concerts of Hope, the proceeds of which helped provide needed funding to dwindling music programs.  While Ellen will be missed, the very talented and able Mrs. Judith Tiso, will continue on as Cypress Creek's music teacher.  Mrs. Tiso is brimming with new ideas that will continue to inspire the musical talents in all of the students she works with. Indeed, Reddick’s gain is Cypress Creek’s loss. Bob Heilmann, Principal of Riverview High School, won the MetLife Ambassador of Education Award for Outstanding Principal of 2008 this past spring. Only 27 principals from around the nation won this prestigious award; quite an honor since the nominations came from his own staff. Besides the honor and the feeling of accomplishment, the Award brings $5,000 to Riverview High School which will assuredly be put to good use since the School is currently undergoing construction renovations. Frank & Carrie Barnett’s grandson, Josh Barnett, graduated from East Bay High School on May 28th. He was voted King at Senior Prom. His future plans are to join the Air Force. We wish him well! Charles & Susan Bates 3837 Salida Delsol Drive Larry House & Mildred Wikkeling-House 3834 Milflores Drive In Villa d’ Este we are proud to officially welcome Charles & Susan Bates to the community.  Coming up and over from Miami they are not only very delighted to get out of the hustle and bustle of the Miami area, but now to be closer to their children and grand children who live in Tampa.  Susan retired from teaching in Dade County and will now use her talents and gifts with kids in our area.  Still looking at all possibilities and opportunities, she will balance working and helping kids along with spending time with her family as well.  Charles will be retiring soon and then moving here full-time.  Once here, we all fully expect him to utilize the golf course, golf academy and fitness center to get his “A” game back!  He has also been known to play some cards and also be a great Grandpa when called upon.  We are very excited to have both Charles and Susan join our community as the warm and caring neighbors they will be and the positive energy and future events they will bring.
